Amazon’s expanded cloud infrastructure is coming to Thailand
Amazon’s cloud infrastructure is the world’s largest platform, providing a wide range of business opportunities. The corporation plans to further develop AWS, for which it is allocating $5 billion. The investments will be used to develop the division in Thailand as part of its 15-year strategy.
The funds will be used to build data centers, pay for intermediaries in the region, and other important tasks. In addition, Amazon plans to open an infrastructure complex in Bangkok, which will improve the level of service for customers from Asia.
The data centers in Thailand will focus on providing innovative solutions in the cloud computing sector. This project will expand the list of services for businesses. In addition, the development of the AWS division is extremely important for the corporation and the creation of the digital economy.
At the moment, Amazon’s platform offers customers more than 200 services, including artificial intelligence solutions, robotics, and data storage.
It should be noted that Thailand is a promising country for Amazon to strengthen its position. Since 2020, 10 AWS peripheral sites have already been operating in Bangkok. These sites increase the speed of data delivery for users and enable improved image and video resolution.
In August, Amazon launched a data center in the UAE, a first for the region. The company offers local customers state-of-the-art solutions for professional operations and provides a customized approach for a given task.
In addition to Thailand and the UAE, Amazon intends to launch the center in Mexico in the near future. This localization will increase the bandwidth for data processing and transmission.

The first includes various virtual servers and storage, while the second includes databases, cloud computing, software, and various solution development tools.
